The AI matching engine is its best feature—it saves the average business owner about 4 to 6 hours of admin a month just by 'remembering' where your recurring expenses belong. However, don't fall for the trap of thinking it replaces a human accountant. Xero’s AI is a world-class bookkeeper, but it’s a terrible tax strategist. It will tell you that you spent £500 on 'Software,' but it won't tell you if that software was a waste of money or how to structure your dividends for the new tax year. Use it to kill the grunt work, but keep a pro on speed-dial for the big decisions.
