Use the Pro version (£8.20/user) to get your core reporting right. Only jump to the high-cost AI tiers (Premium/Fabric) once your data is clean enough that the AI actually has something useful to say. For most SMEs, the 'Key Influencers' and 'Smart Narrative' features—which are included in basic tiers—are actually more useful than the headline-grabbing Copilot tools anyway.
